FOOD

**WARNING: A lot boba running ahead**

Belonging to a family of gourmets and having a talented chef as a father, I have always been plumped and kneaded into what people today call a "foodie."  This, of course, entails some gastronomical knowledge, masterly dishwasher skills, and most importantly, an elegant palette.

Thus, I dedicate this page to yummy food.  Whether it be created in a shack or a castle, here is my food diary for y'all :)  I want to share with you a special bit of my life.
Well, Holla.  Because who doesn't like food?

Fergie does it right.

Pueblo in Costa Mesa

This restaurant is situated in SOCO or "The Mix" down in Costa Mesa. I didn't get to snatch up any pictures of the restaurant itself, but it has a really cute, rustic atmosphere with indoors and outdoors seating (we ate our victuals under the sun :)) Everything was tasty, tasty, tasty -- some flavors reminded me of some Cuban food I ate in Florida last summer combined with fiery Spanish flair. After that Florida trip, I became a savant of Cuban sandwiches, so I decided to try the Cubano at Pueblo. Although it does not compare to the one I had in Key West, I would recommend ordering it because it's delicious (we asked for it to be cut into 4 pieces.) Check this place out for a date, a girls' lunch, or a family meal! By the way, I made reservations and I have yet to try the dinner menu.

SilverLake Ramen in Los Angeles

I guess I go to a lot of ramen places!  "If it looks good, eat it:" right, Mr. Andrew Zimmern?  SilverLake Ramen sits in the corner spot of a tiny strip mall on Sunset Boulevard. This restaurant is absolutely delicious.  Megan, Hugh, and I took my grandma out to eat at this location after tens of minutes searching for good eats on Yelp.  I loved the cool vibe of this moderately sized spot: jazzy house music, a amiable crowd, and hip appearance. Everything we ordered completely satisfied our keen ramen-digesting stomachs.  Go ahead and try out the karage, or Japanese-style marinated fried chicken!  Also, both of the ramen bowl combos we ordered came with crispy, juicy, and thickly cut pork belly (its taste in likeness of chicharron).  I enjoyed SilverLake Ramen immensely!  So delicious!

Ramen Zetton in Costa Mesa, CA

Ramen Zetton is a cute little restaurant that serves authentic Japanese cuisine. (You should try the sushi place, Ikko, right next door!) What I love about Ramen Zetton is not only its delicious food, but its owner!  The owner, Leo, is a young, hardworking risk-taker who saved up money for a few years in order to open up a restaurant of his own.  If you happen to find Ramen Zetton not too busy, I promise that you will enjoy talking to Leo!  So far, I have been to this place three times, and have tried different ramen soups during each visit. These photographs are from my godmother's last day in California.

Tastea in Costa Mesa, CA

As avid boba drinkers, my sister and I were very happy that a new Tastea opened in Costa Mesa.  Tastea is one my favorite places to get drinks from! The ingredients are fresh, the boba and jellies are consistently delicious, and its mixed teas just taste so good. In particular, I really like this Tastea because of its great seating, lively ambiance, and kind team members.

Tebo Tebo and Pho! (Translation: Boba and delicious Vietnamese noodle soup)

I am Vietnamese. And with that ethnicity, comes a great variety of delicious food!  I spent the day with my dad and godmother, spending that quality family time visiting the many small Vietnamese business that were always a part of my childhood.
Today was hot.  Really hot for Orange County inhabitants like me!  So one can imagine how a nice, cute, and revitalizing drink (such as boba) sounded.  The day was fun! Pho-real!
